Section 343.346 - Mental Health Referral of High-Risk Suicidal Youth(a) The facility shall refer a resident classified as high risk for suicidal behavior to a mental health provider or mental health agency within 24 hours after the classification is assigned.(b) The facility shall maintain documentation that the referral was made. The documentation shall include: (1) the name and title of the person who notified the mental health provider;(2) the name and title of the mental health provider or name of the mental health agency notified;(3) the date and time of the notification;(4) the method of notification; and(5) a brief description of the response provided by the mental health provider or a responsive document from the mental health provider.37 Tex.
