Section 36.43 - Alternative Registration Procedures for Military Service Members, Military Veterans, and Military SpousesAn applicant who is a military service member, military veteran, or military spouse may apply for a certificate of registration under this section if the applicant:
(1) Establishes to the satisfaction of the department that the applicant holds a current certificate of registration or the equivalent issued by another jurisdiction with requirements substantially equivalent to the Act's requirements for the certificate of registration; or(2) Within the five (5) years preceding the application date held the certificate of registration in this state.37 Tex.
