Section 23.73 - Presiding Officer

The members appointed by the presiding officers of the Public Safety Commission and the Conservation Commission shall alternately serve as the presiding officer of the committee, alternating between each meeting or as the members decide. The acting presiding officer will prepare a meeting agenda for the meeting of the advisory committee over which the officer will be presiding. A copy of the agenda shall be provided to the department fifteen (15) working days before any scheduled meeting so that the department can arrange for the necessary staff to be in attendance and provide notification to the committee members and the public. The presiding officer shall report the committee's advice and attendance to the director. The committee may elect an assistant presiding officer and a secretary from among its members and may adopt rules for the conduct of its own activities.
