Section 13.31 - Purpose and Scope(a) Purpose. The purpose of these sections is to implement the provisions in the Texas Occupations Code, § 157.051(11)(F), by the establishment of program rules for the designation of practices serving medically underserved populations (Practice-MUPs).(b) Scope. The scope of these sections is to describe the criteria and procedures that the Department of State Health Services (department) will use in designating Practice-MUPs. The criteria will apply to practices not already qualified under the other definitions of eligible practices identified in the Texas Occupations Code, § 157.051(11).(c) Administration.
