Section 6.56 - EligibilityTo receive a Graduate Medical Education grant or formula distribution, an institution or other entity must:
(1) incur the costs of faculty supervision and education or the stipend costs of resident physicians in accredited clinical residency training programs in this state. The Board will consider the costs incurred by medical schools or other entities to support faculty responsible for the education or supervision of resident physicians;(2) be a public medical school, licensed teaching hospitals, or non-profit corporation operating a nationally accredited allopathic or osteopathic residency programs;(3) provide evidence, at least annually, that the residency program is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA);(4) meet the criteria and financial reporting guidelines for a Graduate Medical Education grant or formula distribution as determined by the advisory committee; and(5) provide evidence, at least annually, that the residency program intends to provide continuing operational financial support.19 Tex.
