Section 4.215 - Authority and Purpose(a) Authority. Authority for this subchapter is provided in the Texas Education Code, § 51.9705, Notice Regarding Availability of Textbooks through Multiple Retailers. The rules in this subchapter establish procedures to administer this provision of notice.(b) Purpose. The purpose of this subchapter is to establish a procedure by which each institution of higher education shall provide to each student enrolled at the institution written notice regarding the availability of required or recommended textbooks through university-affiliated bookstores and through retailers other than university-affiliated bookstores.19 Tex.
