Section 1720-05-05-.01 - LIBRARY FINES
(1) Books borrowed from the library's regular collections are subject to a maximum overdue fine of 25 cents per day after a grace period of 7 days, up to the price of the book. For lost books, borrowers are assessed the current cost of replacement for each book plus a maximum processing fee of $10.00 per book. This procedure also applies to audiovisual materials. Government documents have a restricted loan period of one day, a maximum processing charge of $3.00, plus the replacement cost.
(2) Reserve books and unbound periodicals are subject to an overdue fine of 50 cents for the first hour, 25 cents for each additional hour to a maximum of the cost of the item.
(3) If fines for overdue books and charges for lost books are not paid as required, the borrowers will not be permitted to check out materials and will not be permitted by the business ofice and registrar to register or receive course credits and transcripts until the outstanding obligations are fully cleared.
