Section 1340-06-01-.28 - APPLICABLE SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR HOMEMADE AND/OR MATERIALLY RECONSTRUCTED TRAILERS(1) The trailer safety rules and regulations to be applied to all homemade and/or materially reconstructed trailers subject to inspection by the Department are the federal motor carrier safety regulations adopted by the Department pursuant to rule 1340-06-01-.08, particularly those provisions found in 49 CFR Part 393, and the safety requirements for trailers found in T.C.A.
