Section 1220-04-03-.43 - SHORTAGE OF SUPPLY(1) The utility shall exercise reasonable diligence to furnish a continuous and adequate supply of water to its customers and to avoid any shortage or interruption of delivery thereof.(2) If a utility finds that it is necessary to restrict the use of water, it shall notify its customers, and give the Authority written notice. Such notifications shall specify:(a) the reason for the restriction;(b) the nature and extent of the restriction, i.e., on outdoor use of water, use by certain classes of customers, etc.;(c) the date such restriction is to go into effect;(d) the probable date of termination of such restriction.(3) During times of threatened or actual water shortage the utility shall apportion its available water supply among its customers with due regard to health and safety.Tenn.
