Leave balances of deceased employees shall be paid as lump sum payments. Any outstanding leave balance (sick, annual, or compensatory) will be paid to a beneficiary designated by the employee or, if none, the beneficiary designated for receipt of retirement benefits with the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, or, if no beneficiary has been designated in either instance, the deceased employee's estate.
