Section 1030-01-04 - COMPUTATION OF TIME(1) In computing any period of time prescribed or allowed in these Rules, (Chapter 1030-1 through Chapter 1030-7) the day from which the designated period begins to run shall not be included. The last day of the period so computed shall be included unless it is a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, in which event the period runs until the end of the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday. When the period of time prescribed or allowed is less than 7 days, intermediate Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays shall be excluded in the computation.(2) Where service of a pleading or document is by mail pursuant to Rule 1030-1-7, 3 days shall be added to the time allowed by these rules for the filing of a responsive pleading.Tenn.
