Section 1000-01-.12 - PURPOSE OF SCHOOL OF NURSING APPROVAL(1) To ensure the safe practice of nursing by setting standards for schools preparing the practitioner.(2) To ensure continuous evaluation and improvement of schools of nursing.(3) To ensure maximum benefit for the student enrolled in the school of nursing.(4) To ensure graduates meet the educational and legal requirements for the level of licensure and to facilitate endorsement to other states and countries.(5) To ensure that graduates of approved schools are eligible for admission to the appropriate licensing/certification examination.(6) To provide the public and prospective students with a published list of schools of nursing that meet the standards established by the Board.Tenn.
