Section 0800-02-20-.10 - REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EVALUATION(1) The MIR Registry physician's responsibilities prior to the evaluation are to: (a) Review all materials provided by the parties subject to these Rules; and,(b) Review the purpose of the evaluation and the impairment questions to be answered in the evaluation report.(2) The MIR Registry physician's responsibilities following the evaluation are to: (a) Consider all medical evidence obtained in the evaluation and provided by the parties subject to the Rules;(b) Complete an "MIR Report";(c) Send that complete report with all required attachments to the Program Coordinator only, via electronic mail, U.S. mail, or overnight delivery.(3) No physician-patient relationship is created between the MIR physician and the claimant through the MIR Registry evaluation. The sole purpose of the evaluation is to establish an impairment rating and not to recommend future treatment or to provide a diagnosis or other medical advice. However, if new diagnoses are discovered, the physician has a medical obligation to inform the requesting party and the claimant about the condition and recommend further medical assessment.Tenn.
