Section 0800-02-06-.09 - SUBCONTRACTORS(1) A utilization review organization shall be responsible for any utilization review physician(s), registered nurse(s), or other utilization review organization(s) with whom the utilization review organization subcontracts to perform utilization reviews. If a subcontractor performs a utilization review in accordance with the requirements of this Chapter, then the utilization review shall be treated as if performed by the contracting utilization review organization. A utilization review organization shall be liable for all sanctions and/or civil penalties contained in this Chapter whenever its subcontractor violates any provision contained herein.Tenn. Comp.
