Section 74:12:04:01 - Gas-oil ratio test required on oil wells - Procedure

The operator shall conduct a gas-oil ratio test within 30 days after the completion or recompletion of an oil well. The test shall follow the procedure authorized by the secretary. Test results must be reported to the secretary within 30 days of performing the test. Operators shall annually report the gas-oil ratio for all producing oil wells. The limiting gas-oil ratio is 2,000 cubic feet of gas per barrel of oil. This section does not apply to pressure maintenance operations for enhanced oil recovery. An exception to the gas-oil ratio may be granted by the secretary, utilizing the notice of recommendation procedure in chapter 74:12:09.
