The facility must have a written plan for orientation training. The orientation course must include the facilitys functions, services, community resources, and specific job functions. The facility may consider the orientation course a part of the required 50 hours of annual training. An employee shall complete an orientation course within one month after the employee is hired.
Supervision of staff members as they perform their routine tasks is not considered training. The facility must document completion of required training and must keep the documentation in the individuals personnel file.
