An individual is required to participate in the primary care provider program if the individual is covered under subdivisions 67:46:01:02(1), (2) if the individual is at least 19 years old, (7), (9), (11) to (17), inclusive, or (22) to (24), inclusive. If the individual qualifies under one of the subdivisions but is a recipient of Medicare, long-term care services, home and community-based services, community center services provided at an adjustment training center, foster care services, or subsidized adoption services, the individual is exempt from participating in the primary care provider program.
