Section 44:78:03:01 - Fire safety code requirements

Each facility shall meet applicable fire safety standards in NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, 2000 edition. An automatic sprinkler system is not required in an existing facility unless significant renovations or remodeling occurs; however, any existing automatic sprinkler system shall remain in service.
