Section 44:71:01:02 - Eligible health professional defined

For the purposes of this article, the term, eligible health professional, means any South Dakota licensed dietitian, nutritionist, licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, occupational therapist, paramedic, pharmacist, physical therapist, respiratory therapist, speech therapist, dental hygienist healthcare social worker, certified medical laboratory professional, or certified radiologic technologist, who, as determined by the department:

(1) Provides full-time services within his or her professional field in an employing facility; and

(2) Has no encumbrance or pending disciplinary action upon the health professional's license or certificate at the time of entering into a rural healthcare facility recruitment assistance agreement.
