Clinical laboratory tests consistent with the needs of the patients shall be provided or performed by arrangement. The laboratory shall hold a valid Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) certificate and comply with CLIA regulations if testing is done onsite. Laboratory tests required on each patient shall be determined by the medical staff and bylaws. The original laboratory report shall be made a part of the patient's medical records. Fire and safety precautions shall be enforced to protect against physical, chemical, and biological hazards peculiar to the laboratory.
