Section 44:12:01:10 - Required equipment for tattoo and saline tattoo removal establishments

A tattoo or saline tattoo removal establishment shall be equipped with a steam pressure autoclave capable of producing 15 pound pressure per square inch for the time specified in the manufacturer's user manual. The autoclave shall have an internal heat source, a temperature gauge with a sensor for the exhaust, a fissure gauge, and an operational safety valve. If the establishment uses only single use, pre-sterilized, disposable instruments and products, an autoclave is not required.
