The supervisor of a CSW-PIP candidate must be a certified social worker-private, independent practice, psychologist, or psychiatrist authorized to perform their profession in South Dakota and in good standing with the supervisor's respective licensing boards. A supervisor may supervise any number of CSW-PIP candidates upon board authorization, if the board finds that adequate supervision will exist under the proposed supervision agreement. A holder of a temporary permit or license may not supervise a CSW-PIP candidate.
