Section 20:54:28:01 - Independent bacteriological tests

Water conditioning contractors shall cause to be made bacteriological tests, consisting of bacteriological examination for coliform organisms, of water from water conditioning units after regeneration and rinsing. One influent and effluent test sample shall be collected once each month for every 1,000 portable exchange water conditioning units being regenerated or a minimum of one set of two samples per month. The laboratory tests shall be conducted by a private organization or by a municipal, county, or state health department laboratory.
