Current through Register Vol. 51, page 39, September 16, 2024
Section 20:53:06:07 - Examination requirements

The examination for an applicant desiring to become licensed shall consist of questions that are based on the code. The applicant may use the code to answer these questions.

The questions for the sewer and water contractor and the sewer and water installer need not be the same. The passing grade for the sewer and water contractor is 80 percent and the passing grade for the sewer and water installer is 70 percent. If a sewer and water installer receives 80 percent or above on the installer examination, the installer is not required to write the contractor examination when applying for the contractor's license, but is required to pay the license and examination fee for a contractor's license and must meet experience requirements for contractors in § 20:53:06:03. An applicant may sit for the exam for the same license only once every three months.
