Section 20:51:20:03 - Original prescription to be retained

The original prescription order must be retained manually or electronically, according to law. To keep original prescriptions in an electronic format, the prescription software platform must be capable of producing a copy of the original prescription that was entered into the platform via a scan or an electronic record.
