Any student enrolled in a course of study from a college of mortuary science accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education, Inc. may perform the same duties as a trainee if the student provides, to the board, proof of enrollment in an accredited course of study and of obtaining a mortuary student certificate to practice as a mortuary student trainee. This practice does not apply toward the 12 months of traineeship as required by § 20:45:03:02 but may apply to the student's education.
