Section 20:41:15:01 - Minimum training requirements

An applicant for registration as a chiropractic assistant shall meet the following minimum requirements:

(1) Attainment of 18 years of age;

(2) Passage of an approved program or course of study consisting of at least 20 hours in chiropractic assisting that includes coursework in basic chiropractic assistant duties, introduction to physiotherapy, use of modalities, rehabilitation and exercise programs as designed by the chiropractor, evaluations, and other programs as designated by the board; and

(3) Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
