Section 20:41:05:04.01 - Criminal background investigation required Procedure Results furnished to board

Each applicant for admission to practice as a chiropractor in this state shall submit to a criminal background investigation by means of fingerprint checks by the Division of Criminal Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Each applicant shall submit a completed fingerprint card to the board. The board shall submit the cards to the Division of Criminal Investigation prior to the admittance of an applicant. The fingerprint cards shall be forwarded by the Division of Criminal Investigation to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for a national criminal record check. The results of the criminal history check shall be given to the board to determine an applicant's qualification for admission pursuant to SDCL 36-5-14.2.
