Current through Register Vol. 50, page 159, June 17, 2024
Section 20:04:30:104 - Carryover of maximum jackpot pool - Establishment and accumulation of seed pool

When the maximum amount permitted to accumulate in the twin trifecta jackpot pool pursuant to § 20:04:30:96 is reached during a performance in which no one holds a winning ticket for the second twin trifecta race, the value of the jackpot pool reached during that performance shall be carried over to subsequent performances until a winning twin trifecta ticket is issued for the second twin trifecta race.

While the maximum jackpot pool is being carried over, the consolation pool shall be awarded as provided in subdivisions 20:04:30:93(10) and (11), and the share of total wagers ordinarily increasing the jackpot pool shall be placed in a seed pool. If there is no winning ticket on the second twin trifecta race, the seed pool shall accumulate until one of the following occurs:

(1) A winning ticket on the second twin trifecta race is issued;
(2) The seed pool exceeds the maximum allowed under § 20:04:30:96 for the jackpot pool; or
(3) The last performance of the last meeting in a calendar year has concluded.
