Section 20:04:23:02 - Use of certain shoes prohibited - Exception

A horse starting in a race may not be shod with ordinary or training shoes except by permission of the stewards. No shoes with toe grabs greater than two millimeters may be worn on the front hooves of horses while racing or training on any racing surfaces.
