Section 20:04:20:102 - Safety vests

The starter, all outriders and all assistant starters shall wear properly secured safety vests at all times while performing their duties. The safety vests shall be provided by the association and must comply with one of the following minimum standards:

(1) British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) 2000 Level 1;

(2) American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F2681-08 or F1937; or

(3) Shoe and Allied Trade Research Association (SATRA) Jockey Vest Document M6 Issue 3.

No safety vests may be altered in any manner nor may any product marking be removed or defaced.
