Section 72-6 - Transfer of OwnershipA. General. The owner of any high hazard dam or significant hazard dam shall inform the Department in writing within 30 days after title to the dam or reservoir has been transferred from his ownership.B. Implementation. The Department shall furnish to the owner a standard form on which change of ownership can be recorded and sent to the Department. This standard form will be a part of each inspection letter that Department staff issues, as a way of reminding the owners of this requirement. The standard form will be used for the owner's convenience, and the owner can notify the Department in writing about an ownership change without using the standard form.C. Imposition of Administrative Fine. Failure to notify the Department about an ownership transfer within 30 days after it occurs can result in an administrative fine as detailed in Table II.
