Section 71-503 - InspectionsA. As provided for in Section 41-15-260, South Carolina Code of Laws, the Commissioner, his representative, or Safety Specialist, may examine and inspect at reasonable hours, as often as practicable, all places, sites or areas where employment comes under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner for compliance with any and all rules and regulations promulgated under this Act.B. The Commissioner of Labor may subpoena witnesses, take and preserve testimony, examine witnesses, administer oaths and enter any place, site or areas where employment comes under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner and interrogate any person employed therein or connected therewith or the proper officers of a corporation or employer, or he may file a written or printed list of interrogatories and require full and complete answers to them to be returned under oath within ten (10) days of the receipt of such list.
