Section 63-703 - Certification StandardsA. General Standards. The Department will certify a firm as a bona fide DBE under the State or Federal DBE Program if the Department determines that the firm meets the eligibility requirements of 49 CFR Part 26.B. Minority Business Enterprises. For purposes of the State DBE Program, a DBE owned and controlled by one or more individuals who are socially and economically disadvantaged ethnic minorities is known as a Minority Business Enterprise ("MBE").C. Women-owned Businesses. For purposes of the State DBE Program, a DBE owned and controlled by one or more disadvantaged females is known as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise ("WBE").Added by State Register Volume 16, Issue No. 6, eff June 26, 1992.
