Section 61-20.17 - These regulations not to prevent local laws

Nothing contained in these regulations shall be construed to prevent any city, town or county from making such health laws as they may think necessary for the preservation of public health; provided that the said laws be not inconsistent with the laws approved by the Board of Health and Environmental Control. And it shall be the duty of the local health authority to at once furnish the Department of Health and Environmental Control with a copy of the proposed law or laws for the approval of the Board of Health and Environmental Control before they shall become law.
