Section 61-19.600.604 - Abstraction of Documentary EvidenceA. The Vital Statistics employee preparing the certificate shall abstract on the delayed registration of live birth a description of each document submitted to support the facts. This description shall include: (1) the title or description of the document;(2) the name and address of the custodial organization;(3) the creation date of the original document; and(4) all live birth facts required by Section 601 contained in each document accepted as evidence.B. Original documents submitted in support of the delayed birth registration shall be returned to the applicant after review. After a delayed birth certificate has been registered with the state, convenience copies of all accepted documents on file with the Bureau of Vital Statistics shall be destroyed.S.C.
