Section 61-19.1100.1106 - Date of Birth Amendments to Live Birth RecordsA. The date of live birth cannot be changed to a date that is after the date the live birth record was registered.B. The date of live birth may be amended with a certified copy of a record from the hospital of birth and an affidavit created by the Department and signed by a party listed in Section 1103(B).C. Other administrative amendments to the date of live birth may be made provided that an affidavit created by the Department and signed by a party listed in Section 1103.B presents a minimum of two (2) documents that adequately support that the registrant has consistently used the date from childhood and the change does not make the live birth date after the date the live birth record was registered. At least one (1) of the documents must have been created within eighteen (18) years of the alleged date of live birth. The change cannot be made if that change would conflict with any live birth record registered in the Bureau of Vital Statistics for other children of the same birth mother.S.C.
