Section 61-103.2200 - EXITS (I)A. There shall be more than one (1) exit leading to the outside of the building on each floor.B. Exits shall be placed so that the entrance door of every private room and semi-private room shall be not more than one hundred (100) feet along the line of travel to the nearest exit.C. Exits shall be remote from each other.D. Exits shall be arranged so that there are not corridor pockets or dead-ends in excess of twenty (20) linear feet.E. Each resident room shall communicate directly with an approved exit access corridor without passage through another occupied space or shall have an approved exit directly to the outside at grade level, to a public space free of encumbrances. Maximum travel distance from any point in the room to an exit access corridor shall not exceed fifty (50) feet. S.C. Code Regs. ch. 61, 61-103, 61-103.2200
