Section 280-RICR-30-10-3.1 - Purpose, Scope, and Authority

A. These Rules and Regulations establish the practice and procedures for administering and enforcing an insurance verification program to verify compliance with motor vehicle owner's insurance requirements under R.I. Gen. Laws Chapter 31-47 and other provisions under R.I. Gen. Laws Chapter 31-47.4, so as to assist in reducing the number of uninsured motor vehicles on the highways of the state;

B. These Rules and Regulations are promulgated under the authority of R.I. Gen. Laws § 31-47.4-2 and R.I. Gen. Laws Chapter 42-35, as amended.
