Section 250-RICR-90-00-6.5 - Areas (Waters) Prohibited for All Commercial NettingA. All commercial netting, except licensed fish traps are prohibited in the following waters: 1. In the Harbor of Refuge and within three hundred (300) feet of the Harbor of Refuge breakwater.2. In all coastal salt pond channels.3. In Point Judith Pond in the following locations:a. South of a line extending from Strawberry Hill Point to High Point; and west of the Great Island Bridge.b. Inland of a line extending from Betty Hull Point to the Narrows Northwest Corner Coordinate.c. North of a line extending from Ram Point to Squally Point.4. In the northern portion of Potter Pond within one hundred (100) feet of the mouth of Captain's Brook in the town of South Kingstown.5. In the Pettaquamscutt (Narrow) River in the towns of South Kingstown, North Kingstown, and Narragansett, in the following locations: a. Within nine hundred (900) feet of the mouth of the river.b. Between the Middlebridge Road bridge and a boundary located eight hundred feet (800') north of the Bridgetown Road Bridge.c. From the mouth of the river to the south side of Sprague bridge.d. Within one hundred (100) feet seaward of the mouth of Gilbert Stuart Brook.6. In the Pawcatuck River north of a line extending from Pawcatuck Rock in the town of Stonington, Connecticut to Thompson Point in the town of Westerly, except for seining between February 1 and April 15.7. Fixed gear is prohibited in the following areas:a. In the Foster Cove channel inland of a line extending from the Foster Cove Channel Southwest Corner Coordinate to the Foster Cove Channel Southeast Corner Coordinate; and seaward of a line extending from the Foster Cove Channel Northwest Corner Coordinate to the Foster Cove Channel Northeast Corner Coordinate.b. In Ninigret Pond in the area encompassed by a polygon within the four points of Ninigret Pond Narrows Northwest Corner Coordinate, Ninigret Pond Narrows Southwest Corner Coordinate, Grassy Point, and the Ninigret Pond Narrows Southeast Corner Coordinate.250 R.I.
