Section 250-RICR-150-20-7.1 - Authority and PurposeA. Statutory Basis. These Regulations are adopted pursuant to R.I. Gen. Laws Chapters 20-1, 42-17.1, 46-12, and 42-35.B. Purpose. These Regulations are intended to:1. Assure the protection of public health, safety, and welfare as well as improve water quality and the fish and wildlife of the State; and,2. Establish a means by which the Department of Environmental Management may administer to qualified marina owner/operators partial funding in the form of grants for the purpose of the construction, renovation, operation, and maintenance of marine pumpout and dump stations designed to service Type III marine sanitation devices installed on recreational vessels.250 R.I.
