Section 250-RICR-140-20-2.7 - Segregation of Recyclable Materials from Municipal Solid WasteA. The following requirements in this rule shall apply to all municipal residential solid waste generated in Rhode Island: 1. Any person who generates municipal solid waste or accepts responsibility for collecting, storing, or disposing of municipal solid waste, shall segregate their solid waste.2. Subsequent to the point of generation, no person shall combine segregated recyclables with solid waste in a manner that renders the material not marketable.250 R.I. Code R. 250-RICR-140-20-2.7
