A generator's emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOX), particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), and carbon dioxide (CO2) under full load design conditions or at the load conditions specified by the applicable testing methods shall not exceed the standards set out in §§ 43.8.1 and 43.8.2 of this Part. A generator shall meet the applicable emission standards in effect on the date that the unit is installed.

Owners/operators of emergency generators with a minor source permit issued prior to the effective date of this regulation, shall not operate the emergency generator in conjunction with any voluntary demand-reduction program or any other interruptible power supply arrangement with a utility, other market participant or system operator.
