Section 230-RICR-30-30-6.10 - Conflicts of Interest
A. No employee of the Division may belong to, contract with, or receive any compensation from, any Person who sanctions, arranges or promotes Professional MMA Matches or who otherwise has a financial interest in an active Professional MMA Fighters currently registered with an MMA Registry. For purposes of this section, the term "compensation" does not include funds held in escrow for the payment to another Person in connection with a Professional MMA Match.
B. No licensee shall have, directly or indirectly, any financial interest in a Competitor competing on premises owned or leased by the licensee, or in which the licensee is otherwise interested. No Competitor in an Event shall be paid for services before the services are rendered, and, should it be determined by the judges and referee that a Competitor did not give an honest exhibition of his or her skill, his or her services shall not be remunerated.
