Section 216-RICR-40-20-9.12 - Other Medical Uses of Radioactive Material or Radiation from Radioactive MaterialA. A licensee may use radioactive material or a radiation source approved for medical use which is not specifically addressed elsewhere in this Part if: 1. The applicant or licensee has submitted: a. Information regarding any radiation safety aspects of the medical use of the material that is not addressed elsewhere in this Part; andb. Specific information on:(1) Radiation safety precautions and instructions;(2) Training and experience of proposed users;(3) Methodology for measurement of dosages or doses to be administered to patients or human research subjects; and(4) Calibration, maintenance, and repair of instruments and equipment necessary for radiation safety; andc. Any other information requested by the Agency in its review of the application; and2. The applicant or licensee has received written approval from the Agency in a license or license amendment and uses the material in accordance with this Subchapter and specific conditions the Agency considers necessary for the medical use of the material.216 R.I.
