Any person practicing or offering to practice midwifery shall be required to submit evidence that such person is qualified to practice and shall be licensed as provided in this Part, in order to safeguard the life and health of the people.B. It shall be unlawful for any person to practice or to offer to practice midwifery in Rhode Island or to use any title, abbreviation, sign, card or device to indicate that such a person is practicing midwifery unless such person has been duly licensed as a midwife in accordance with the Act and this Part.216 R.I.
