Section 216-RICR-10-05-2.4 - Designation of Certain Clinical Tests as a Covered BenefitA. Pursuant to the authority conferred by R.I. Gen. Laws § 23-1-3(c), the clinical tests listed in § 2.15 of this Part have been designated by the Director as a covered benefit and shall be reimbursable by all health insurers, as defined inB. R.I. Gen. Laws § 27-38.2-2(1), providing health insurance coverage for specific diseases, hospital indemnity Medicare supplements, or other supplemental policies. The charges for those testing programs shall be borne by the hospitals or other licensed health care providers and facilities in the absence of a third (3rd) party payor.216 R.I.
