Section 181.37 - Distance markers(a) A licensed racing entity shall provide starting point markers and distance poles in a size and position that is clearly seen from the Judges' stand.(b) All poles and markers shall be positioned at least 10 feet off the inside rail.(c) The starting point markers and distance poles must be marked as follows:(1) 3/4 pole-Red and white horizontal stripes(2) 1/2 pole-Red and white horizontal stripes(3) 1/4 pole-Red and white horizontal stripes(4) 1/8 poles-Green and white horizontal stripes(5) 1/16 poles-Black and white horizontal stripes
