Section 138e.17 - Planning and development map(a) The county board shall, in consultation with the county planning commission, prepare and adopt a map identifying the important agricultural areas of the county. The scale of the map shall be such that it can be used to locate specific land proposed for easement purchase.(b) The county board shall encourage the formation of agricultural security areas in the important agricultural areas identified in the map described in subsection (a).(c) The planning and development map shall identify areas in the county devoted primarily to agricultural use where development is occurring or is likely to occur in the next 20 years. The identification of these areas shall be made in consultation with the county planning commission, and any other body the county board deems appropriate.The provisions of this §138e.17 amended December 26, 1997, effective 12/27/1997, 27 Pa.B. 6782.
