Section 807a.9 - Duty to investigate(a) A slot machine licensee, interactive gaming certificate holder or interactive gaming operator shall investigate the background and qualifications of the applicants for interactive gaming service provider registration or certification with whom it intends to have a contractual relationship or enter into an agreement.(b) A slot machine licensee, interactive gaming certificate holder or interactive gaming operator shall have an affirmative duty to avoid agreements or relationships with persons applying for an interactive gaming service provider registration or certification whose background or associations are injurious to the public health, safety, morals, good order and general welfare of the residents of this Commonwealth, or who threaten the integrity of gaming in this Commonwealth.(c) A slot machine licensee, an interactive gaming certificate holder or interactive gaming operator shall have a duty to inform the Board of an action by an applicant for or holder of an interactive gaming service provider registration or certification, which the slot machine licensee, interactive gaming certificate holder or interactive gaming operator believes would constitute a violation of the act or this part.
